The Rohrabacher-Blumenauer Amendment works to protect medical cannabis programs in 29 states and the District of Columbia.
The states most affected by a non-renewal of this amendment would be California, Michigan, and Arizona, as they comprise 70% of the nearly 2 million registered U.S. cannabis patients in the U.S.
Support for medical cannabis is broad and growing: 94% of Americans favor use if with a doctor’s prescription, up from 89% last year.
Americans increasingly favor adult-use cannabis, too, with 61% of U.S. adults agreeing that it should be legalized - up from 59% in February 2017.
