Farewell Luncheon
Tomorrow ~ Sunday, January 21

Join us in celebrating Nathan Smock and his ministry as our Organist and Director of Music Ministry. After much thought, prayer, and discussion, he's made the difficult decision to move closer to family. This move will enable him to be more present and more useful than his current situation in Birmingham allows. He will be missed!

Please bring a side dish, casserole, or dessert to share as we honor and recognize his contributions to our congregation over the past five years. The church will provide ham and chicken fingers.

Church Reunion ~ Sunday, January 28

Celebrating our rich history and looking toward our bright future ...

Join us for a fun day of catching up with old friends and fellowshipping with new ones. We’ll have a combined choir (former & current members), a special time of worship, a fellowship lunch after worship (bring a side dish or dessert to share - the church will provide meat & drinks), and a beautiful historical display of old documents and memorabilia. Lunch Is Served on “Soup”er Bowl Sunday
Sunday, February 4

Our annual "Soup”er Bowl Sunday will be serving up Santa Fe soup along with four muffins for only $20 in to-go containers. Proceeds from your lunch purchase support our children's program here at Avondale UMC.

Prayer Request

Please be in prayer for Larry Contri and his family in the death of his brother-in-law Paul Sims of Montgomery. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
