Wind Energy Foundation Study: Transmission is Key for Meeting Corporate Clean Energy Goals

Dear ACEG Coalition Partner,

A new report released this week by the Wind Energy Foundation (and prepared by David Gardiner and Associates, who provide administrative and substantive support to ACEG) provides compelling support for one of ACEG’s key contentions: if you want to get to a clean energy economy, one key is improving, extending, and integrating the high-voltage transmission grid. The study focuses on the growing corporate demand for clean energy, justifying transmission investments well beyond those currently planned.

We urge you to download and review the study and to build its conclusions into your own advocacy for transmission improvements and projects. ACEG plans to offer a webinar in coming weeks that will provide expert reactions to this study and its implications for transmission planning and policy, so stay tuned. The full report is available here.
