The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA) celebrates twenty-five years of Primavera – the annual exhibition dedicated to showcasing the work of young Australian artists. Drawn from the MCA Collection, Primavera at 25 brings together established and emerging artists working across a range of disciplines from painting, sculpture, video, performance, kinetic and installation art. FIELD Engineers Gallery, Artspace Mackay February 16 to May 13.

Artspace is thrilled to announce that local fashion designer Inge Hilhorst will be our tutor for Term 1 Kids Art Club! Inge is one of Mackay’s most popular designers, she loves teaching and has a wealth of art & design experience. $150 per child for six weeks (includes all materials).

A creative & fun way to learn. Our informal Speed Date The Collection night is an opportunity for members of the community to ‘meet’ artists’ books from the Collection in an informal and fun way.

Rick Woods Hands On Bursary
Artspace Mackay Foundation has quadrupled its annual Rick Woods Hands On Bursary. This means young artists can have the opportunity to further their creative careers more than ever before. The Foundation has made a substantial increase to the bursary from $1000 to $4000 to foster the next generation of arts professionals from our region.
Applications close on Monday, January 22, 2018, with the winner to be announced in early February.
