“Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ” Ephesians 1:9-12
God has an eternal PLAN and PURPOSE. Does that surprise you? I ask that because as I look around I see those who go by the name of CHRISTIAN, living as though that were not true. It's almost as if they believe, that God created this world, and all the people in it, then wound us up like an old clockwork toy, and watched us from heaven with amusement as we all wound down to eventually stop. It appears to me that many live as if God has no active part in our lives, except someone we can turn to when in trouble, or ask a favour of when we are in need. I pray that God is more, much more than that to you!
God indeed has a PLAN & PURPOSE, and He has partly revealed that PLAN & PURPOSE to us, and showed us that PLAN & PURPOSE through His beloved Son, our Saviour, Jesus.

God is at work in the lives of every true BELIEVER. He has PREDESTINED us to obtain OUR INHERITANCE that He has PURPOSED in His own will, THAT EACH OF US WILL RECEIVE.
God IS working in us to ensure that that actually happens, not at some hazy unsure moment in the future, but in His time, when HE has planned that we will receive it. GOD ALONEKNOWS THE DATE, AND THE DATE IS SURE!
It does matter how we live our lives. We shouldn't be solely living our lives to please ourselves, and to pamper to our flesh, but we should be LIVING FOR HIM. We are NOT the clockwork toy slowly winding down to stop, we are His creation.......
“....created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:10
That is His glorious plan for our lives, whilst we wait for the trumpet blast that will herald His decent from the glories of His Father's house to the clouds in the sky, as we, by His power, rise up to meet Him in the air!
God has BEFORE ORDAINED that we should walk in GOOD WORKS. We are not to be just spectators in our Churches, but DOERS OF THE WORK.
“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves” James 1:22
“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed” James 1:25
So, I commend you to THE WORK of God, which He has ordained for you to do for Him, not forgetting, God is at work in YOU! Christ lives in the life of every true believer, it is our HOPE and guarantee of eternity!
“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” Col.1:27
