COMMUNITY ASSISTANCE DAY is Tuesday, Jan. 23. Volunteers are needed to greet visitors, assist with food pantry and food boxes, offer prayer, and distribute funds. Training provided and we’ll pair you with someone with experience! Donations for food items, like canned meat, beans and soup, fruit and vegetables, peanut butter and jelly are always needed.

CHILDREN’S COUNCIL MEETING JAN. 28
For 2018, our Children’s Council will meet on the 4th Sunday of each month following the 11am worship service. For our first meeting on Sunday, Jan. 28 (from 12:15-1:45pm) our lunch will be provided for us. Childcare also will be provided. This is our first meeting of the year and will be a little longer than usual as we brainstorm and plan ministry activities for our children in 2018. Children’s ministry volunteers and staff are automatically on the Children’s Council, but parents, grandparents and others are invited to attend the meeting as well. Bring your ideas and suggestions! And if you have a heart for children’s ministry and feel called to lead, teach, and nurture our children, we’d love to have you as part of the team! VIBE VALENTINE’S DAY PARTY
Saturday, Feb. 3 from 5pm-9:30pm at Jacque & Jade Dundas’ Home in Fairview. The party is for children ages 10 and up. Bring a favorite game to share, Valentine’s Day cards to exchange, and $3-$5 to help with pizza and snacks.
VALENTINE'S DAY FRIENDSHIP BRUNCH & FUNDRAISER FEB. 11
On Sunday, Feb. 11, we will enjoy our annual Friendship Brunch with one worship service at 10:30am (in the sanctuary) and brunch and activities at 11:30am in the lobby and Events Center. We will have a silent auction for gift baskets again, and we will have a white elephant sale. Items you are donating for the sale can be left in the church library on the 2nd floor—thanks to our UMW for letting us use their space for this. Anything not purchased should be picked up that day by the donors since we can’t store anything past the sale. If you have ideas for the baskets or would like to donate gift cards, please contact Priscilla Nutt at 828-489-1610 or nuttpriscilla@gmail.com. You can bid on items, buy from the sale, and give a monetary donation for the brunch (or for any other reason). Our prayer is that we all feel loved and that we raise a wonderful love offering for our church and its ministries.

BILTMOREUMC'S PRAYER TEAM assembles every Tuesday at noon to pray for the needs of our church and our community. We meet in the Prayer Room upstairs (right beside the elevator on Level 3), and we end by 12:30pm.
CARE TEAM is responsible for "Coffee & Donuts" this Sunday in the Events Center.
