We closed out 2017 toasting a good first year. Hard to believe that it was only May when we became legit farmers, responsible for living creatures that would feed all of you. Over the holidays we took a little bit of a break, meaning we weren't at any markets for two weeks, but really the farm work never stops. We even spent Em's birthday blowing attic insulation into the mushroom building (it was that extremely cold day right after Christmas).
But it worked, our room is toasty and the mushroom are thriving...so much that we have some new options for you to enjoy.
And Dave's New Year's resolution was to sell the remaining chickens. In retrospect, it was ambitious to raise 3000 chicken in our first year. But the good news for you is that (even frozen), these are by FAR the BEST chicken you can find this winter. Don't take our word, take the word of the chefs at the culinary schools at Centennial College and Durham College who smiled from ear to ear when they saw them. Proud to say that we are now supplying both schools. :D
You can visit us at the farm, at one of the two farmers' markets in Toronto, arrange to meet us in Leslieville or at CSI locations or request home delivery. Check here for all the details.
