Central Wellness - A space for yoga and holistic health

This Sunday we are holding a film night, 4-8pm, which is free and open to everyone, all ages welcome.
The evening is very informal and will begin with a short opening group meditation and then we will share a pot luck dinner with a showing of the movie The Architecture of Peace, director Heitor Dhalia's new film and his first documentary.  It follows photographer Michael O'Neill as he talks to the great Yoga masters in India, Tibet and New York. 
Please bring a vegetarian dish to share, come for all or some of the evening. 

Justin, our mindfulness teacher is running an 8 Week Course: Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Relaxation  course beginning the 28th January.  The course aims to assist you in taking better care of yourself and in getting the most out of living, more details can be found on our website.

Therapist highlight 

I am a massage therapist and also offers Reiki treatments.  My journey in complementary therapies began in 2010 when I was diagnosed with both fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. During my recovery, I experienced several different types of therapies before realising that I wanted to use these techniques to help others. I take a holistic approach to my treatments, as I strongly believe that the mind, body and spirit are all interconnected. We are all unique individuals, so whichever therapy you choose will be individually tailored to your own needs.

The therapies I currently offer are massage and reiki. Massage can benefit all the physical body systems, especially the musculoskeletal, circulatory, lymphatic, and nervous systems. Physical benefits of massage include relief from pain, inflammation, stiffness and discomfort, an increase in mobility and circulation, and an improved immune system. Mental and psychological benefits of massage include improved quality of sleep, increased energy, improved concentration and reduction in anxiety and fatigue.
