Rosary Concert Series
The St. Cecilia Society announces a special devotional concert series for 2018, dedicated to the Mysteries of the Rosary.
 
Join us in praying the rosary, assisted by some of the great musical treasures of the Church. 
 
These concert-meditations will be free of charge and open to the public. (Donations will be gratefully accepted, with proceeds benefiting the sacred music program at St. Mary’s.)
The Joyful Mysteries
Sunday, February 4 at 3:00 p.m.

Works of Marcel Dupré (1886–1971) and others
Followed by a light reception
and Solemn Vespers at 5:00 p.m.

The Sorrowful Mysteries
Sunday, March 18 at 3:00 p.m.

Elizabeth Weaver, soprano
and Charles Weaver, lute
16th- and 17th-century Italian arias and cantatas on the subject of the Passion
Followed by a light reception

The Glorious Mysteries
Sunday, May 6 at 3:00 p.m.

Leah Gale Nelson, baroque violin
with Dongsok Shin (organ) and Daniel Swenberg (theorbo)
The virtuosic Mystery Sonatas of Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber (1644–1704)
Followed by a light reception
and Solemn Vespers at 5:00 p.m.
