Phoenix Alumnae Turtles & Pearls

February 25 2018
Social Hour and Photo booth at 11am
Luncheon at noon

Turtles & Pearls is Phoenix Alumnae Chapters annual signature event to honor 2017 membership milestones of 10, 25, 50 and 65 years and our graduating seniors from our Pi Zeta chapter at ASU.

This year the event will be held at the University Club of Phoenix conveniently located
in an historic area of Phoenix
at 39 E Monte Vista Road, Phoenix where there is plenty of parking.

Registration, Photo booth, Cash Bar and Social hour will start at 11 am in the Living Room.
Luncheon will be served at noon in the Garden Room with the membership and graduating
ASU senior recognitions to follow.

Alumna cost is $35 and your reservation must be received by Wednesday February 21
either by paying through our website HERE

Or sending check (payable to Delta Zeta) to our treasurer Lorna Green, 4723 Voltaire, Phoenix, AZ 85032.
As the Pi Zeta chapter seniors are our guests, please consider sponsoring a senior for $25 as well.

Tucson Alumnae Chapter February 12th Luncheon

The Tucson Area Alumnae hope 2018 has been treating all of our Delta Zeta Sisters well thus far! Our February Luncheon will be held on the 12th at Noon at Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort (5501 N. Hacienda Del Sol Road, Tucson 85718). RSVP to: vickielynn@comcast.net by February 4th. We will continue to dive deeper into our conversations regarding our intended service project for the Arizona School for the Deaf located in Tucson.

In addition, we would like to recognize our chapter Secretary, Briana Russo. On Saturday January 27th she was honored during the Arizona Wildcats Women’s Wheelchair Basketball Senior Recognition Game verses The University of Illinois. After playing four semesters as a scholar athlete, she will be graduating with her Master of Public Policy in May 2018. Briana is pictured in the center with Mista Wilt on the left and Connie Wilt on the right. These DZ sisters and Mother & daughter team came to support Briana at a recent game and presented Briana with a lovely bouquet. Congratulations Briana!

Registration now open! On March 17, 2018 alumnae and collegiate members will meet in Philadelphia for our regional networking conference, Truly Connected. It’s a day of connecting, skill building and professional growth presented by Delta Zeta Sorority.

We’ll hear from dynamic speakers, gain career and networking insights from a multigenerational panel, and join in roundtable discussions on current issues of interest to women.

Pi Zeta Chapter at ASU Dukeout

Successfully orchestrating the largest Greek Philanthropy event on campus, is the Pi Zeta Chapter of Delta Zeta at Arizona State University.

Delta Zeta Dukeout will be February 12th-17th, 2018. If you can please enjoy a meal at the following on the night indicated to help support the chapters fund raising efforts.

Monday, February 12th: Benefit Night at Chipotle on South Mill Ave from 5pm-9pm
Tuesday, February 13th: Benefit Night at Blaze Pizza on University from 6pm-10pm
Wednesday, February 14th: Tentative Benefit Day at Dutch Bro's Coffee on Rural all day
Thursday, February 15th: Pancake Dinner in Adelphi Commons from 7pm-1am, with a Popup Shop from American Monarchy Clothing Company
Friday, February 16th: Benefit Day at Panda Express on College Ave from 10am-11pm
Saturday, February 17th: Delta Zeta Dukeout at Daley Park

Monday-Thursday, we will be having Penny Wars at the MU from 10am-3pm.

Soon there will also be an online link to donate directly to their philanthropy, DZ Dukeout. Funds are donated to several local and National speech and hearing causes including help with our Phoenix Alumnae scholarships for graduating seniors at Phoenix School for the Deaf.

Welcome new members to our Pi Zeta Chapter: Loren Cody, Bailey Chalmers, Sara Frost, Alex Bushman, Hannah Polus, Gabriella Rojas, Julie Kaleski, Gabriella Scott, Olivia Bailery, Madison Callahan, Kerny Hanson, Alexis Jamerson and Jessica Lannin. Phoenix Alumnae Lunch Bunch

January Phoenix Lunch Bunch was held on Saturday January 13 at Village Tavern. No lunch bunch in February as we will be busy volunteering at the WMPO to raise Panhellenic scholarships and we will all be at the Turtles and Pearls Luncheon on February 25. Phoenix Westside

Our Phoenix Westside DZ luncheon date is Monday March 19th, 11:30 am at Mercer's Restaurant, 9720 W. Peoria Ave in the Arrowhead Shopping Mall. Contact Anne Gay at 602-482-1807 by Friday, March 16th if you can attend. This luncheon is not just for our west side sisters, it is open to any DZ that would like to attend. If you need transportation please also contact Anne and she will make arrangements.

Phoenix Alumnae Chapter is looking for new leaders and volunteers. Delta Zeta knows a woman's potenial to lead and serve. There are many opportunies in the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter with roles on the Exec Board and committees. Are you willing to work on an event? Be an officer/chair? Interested in how the chapter operates? If this sounds like an opportunity for you, join us at the next Phoenix Chapter planning meeting February 11 at 4-6pm at the home of Lee Ann Witt, 12240 N 86th St, Scottsdale. Time for Phoenix Alumnae 2018 Dues!

You can pay your dues at the "Turtles & Pearls" event this month, mail them to Lorna Green at 4723 E. Alumnae dues are still a bargain at $35 per year, considering some goes to National and Phoenix Panhellenic and to support our Pi Zeta's as well as our Alumnae events.

Our sisterhoods are a great opportunity to meet newly graduated sisters, sisters who are new to the area, or those sisters who are just looking to reconnect.
