A Note from the Primary Head

A resolution for the new year: "In 2018, I will read the FS weekly memo attentively every Monday (with my diary at the ready to update it if necessary)".

Thank you for starting the year by sticking to your resolution...you’re here after all!
CE1 - CM2 DELF Prim Enrollment at the Alliance Française

Exam date: Sunday 15th April 2018

Enrollment open: 20th-30th January 2018.

Please find the enrollment form for the DELF Prim French certification here.
Bikes and children’s scooters
In keeping with our plan to become an eco-school and to educate students about environmentally friendly actions, we encourage them to come to school on foot, by bike, or on a scooter. If that is the case, we ask you to leave the bikes and scooters in the designated area behind the cafeteria. Bikes and scooters should not be used during the school day, they cannot be used on school grounds and they should have a lock on them where possible.
Recycling old clothes, toys and books
We hope to teach our students the value and importance of charity, recycling and consideration for others by organising a charity collection of old clothes, toys and books suitable for children (aged 0-10 years) to donate to Harmony Homes. There is more information in this letter.

From tomorrow until 8th of February, donations can be made in the containers in the atrium (please make sure to separate and seal all bags). Thank you for your help.

Reminder: children not collected at 3pm
Children from CP to CM2 who have not been collected at 3pm are taken to the ECA Supervised Homework, where they are supervised by a member of ECA staff until the responsible adult comes to collect them. This is intended as an exceptional measure offered to parents in urgent situations. If you cannot collect your child at 3pm on a regular basis, we would ask you to enroll them in the ECA Supervised Homework. Please see Joyce Chen or Alice Liu in the Educational Services Department.

We have two very important meetings coming this week - the CM2 parents are coming up to Yangmingshan to learn more about 6ème and middle school (collège) and the 3ème parents are coming in to find out more about the Brevet exams that their children will sit this summer.
