Scheduled inbound seat capacity to Asia set to increase in 2018


 
An increase of two percent in scheduled airline seat capacity to destinations across Asia from all regions is predicted for 2018. Europe will take the lead with year-on-year growth of 5.1 percent while the Americas is expected to see a minimal increase of 0.4 percent compared to last year. Africa (3.4%) and the Pacific (2.8%) are also predicted to report positive growth this year in scheduled airline seat capacity to Asia.

In a year marked by giving back, Best Western Hotels & Resorts’ hoteliers have committed approximately $1 million over the next five years in support of the brand’s charitable arm – Best Western for a Better World® (BWBW). Portions of these funds were donated to the American Red Cross® – the charity’s disaster relief partner – to aid victims in the aftermath of 2017’s powerful hurricanes and wildfires. Read more.

Khiri Travel opens office in Sulawesi, Indonesia

Khiri Travel Indonesia has opened an office in Makassar, Sulawesi and is taking bookings now for arrivals from January 2018 onwards. The new office, which opened late last year, is Khiri’s fifth in Indonesia. Khiri already has operation centres open in Lombok, Bali, Labuan Bajo (Flores), and Yogyakarta (Java). Read more.
