Cross Connection Control/Backflow Assembly Tester Certification

This 4.5 day (30 hour) course covers aspects of cross connection controls and backflow preventers assembly testing as published in AWWA Canadian Cross Connection Control Manual published by the Western Canada Section American Water Works Association (WCS AWWA). A BCWWA Backflow Assembly Testers Certification Exam (practical and written) session is offered after this course.
The course covers all aspects of conducting cross connection facility surveys including codes and standards required, legal and health aspects, safety, review of backflow preventers, review of cross-connections, equipment & facilities, conducting a survey, record keeping etc.

Household Drinking Water Storage Practices

This 1 day (6 hour) course is designed to improve the participants' knowledge in maintaining safe drinking water in homes. Course topics include raw water sources, bacteriological sampling, proper setup of hydro-pneumatic pressure tank and switch, chlorination, and corrective action for low chlorine residuals.
