Making a one point entry in the cities on innovation partnerships and how to increase cities use of innovation procurement was some of the challenges discussed at the working days in Kiel.

Living Test Laboratories or Living Labs are a platform where companies can test their technologies in a real environment. Currently, the Northern Connections project is working on a way to set the criteria to define when a location can be called a Living Lab.

Cities from all around Europe convened to discuss the theme at the Celsius Summit conference, where Business Region Göteborg organised around 90 pre-arranged matchmaking meetings between companies, politicians and representatives of European cities.

Gothenburg project in knowledge sharing at European level
The Fossil-free Energy Districts project, or FED, was presented in Brussels on 7 November. Within FED, new, innovative solutions for a fossil-free society will be tested and energy use reduced. The goals and challenges were discussed at European level.

Events 

Øresund Climate Week
Denmark and Sweden will be co-hosting the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) in May 2018. There will be a week-long energy conference Øresund Climate Week, where key actors both from non-profits, international organisations and businesses will meet. Held in co-operation with Malmö, the conference will focus on promoting green transition.

The City of Oslo and OREEC is going to Austin and SXSW. This event is from the 8th of March to the 15th of March.The Northern Connections is meeting up with TechNordic and other EU-projects.
