UPUMC families,
Thank you for your investment in the Children’s Ministry at UPUMC! My hope, as we move forward together is to create an environment where every child knows that they are a child of God and have a church family and environment where they are known and belong. As an initial step in this effort, I am excited to announce a restructuring of our elementary Sunday school hour. In order to create a more engaged, coherent community amongst our elementary aged children, we are going to use a “large group/small group model” for our 1st through 5th grade elementary Sunday school classes. Your children will still sign in and be dropped off in their normal Sunday school age room. They will then travel to the 4th/5th grade Sunday school room for a large group time.

This will consist of learning a Bible story together, memory verse, collecting offering together, etc. Children in 1st and 2nd grade will then have their choir time as normal. Children in 3rd through 5th grades will return to their classrooms for small group activity and discussion related to the lesson. You will continue to pick up all children in the regular location.
I look forward to continuing to get to know your children and your families as we learn and grow together as a church family! Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

1st-5th grades- Jesus Heals the Paralyzed Man (Mark 2:1-12)

3's- Jesus Calms the Storm
Pre-K/Kinder- Faces of Easter I (Jesus as a baby)
1st-5th grades- Jesus Teaches about the Wise and Foolish Men (Matt. 7:24-29)
Sunday, February 25th
3's- Jairus's Daughter
Pre-K/Kinder- Faces of Easter II (Jesus gets lost in the Temple)
1st-5th grades- The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37)

You may have noticed the security guards now present on Sunday mornings. This was in no way a response to a threat or security concern, just a precautionary measure in order to make our church a safe and secure place to worship, study, play and grow as a community of faith.

Easter Candy Donations Needed!
Please help us fill eggs for the egg hunt on Easter Morning. You can drop donated candy in marked donation boxes outside the Children's Chapel and at the Welcome Center! Thank you for your help!

Join us for a family friendly service on Ash Wednesday at 6pm!
