Be more neighbourly...

As we head into the new year, perhaps one resolution we can all make is to be more neighbourly.

This year the Neighbour Day theme is: the importance of a supportive neighbourhood for children and young people.

We encourage all Australians to support safe and welcoming communities for the families with children and young people in their neighbourhoods.

Minister for Loneliness...

With 9 million adults in the UK reporting that they are often or always lonely, the UK government has just appointed a dedicated Minister for Loneliness.

Relationships Australia’s December 2017 online survey report presents the results of the third survey in a series that examines the levels of social isolation and loneliness for people accessing the Relationships Australia website.

It is well known that good relationships with others support our mental health, reduce social isolation and makes us feel connected to our community. It's time to reconnect with those around us. #NeighbourDay

Nabo set to crack 300,000 members!

Very neighbourly organisation Nabo is the private, local social network used in more than 8,000 suburbs across Australia that helps neighbours get to know each other and get the best out of their local community.

Because people register with their real address, Nabo makes it safe and easy for neighbours to connect with their real neighbours and share local news, recommendations and events.

Congratulations Nabo for connecting so many neighbours with each other. Very neighbourly indeed!

Here's to 400,000!
