Mental health is equally as important as physical health when it comes to being a successful athlete!

Remember:
  • Don't be afraid to ask for help - your coaches are there for you
  • Focus on what you CAN control (ex. your attitude, your energy, and your effort)
  • Use positive language and be your biggest cheerleader
  • Take time to celebrate your accomplishments and your hard work
  • Visualize your success (ex. catching the touchdown pass, making the free throw, etc.)
  • Make the most out of failure (ex. What can you work on for next time? How can you improve?)
  • Take time to yourself to relax and recuperate after practices and workouts
& most of all, don't forget to HAVE FUN and ENJOY playing the sport that you love!
It takes a village to raise a child….. it takes a community to give them the opportunity to succeed. Everyone deserves that opportunity. Help us give them one.

The Washington Kids Foundation has reached 1,000+ youth through programs and referral hours with over 100 volunteers. We continue to grow with over 40,000 hours of service through our North Shore and Surrey centres, building a solid platform for a successful life through physical literacy, academics and social skills.

Thank you to the Washington Kids Foundation for your ongoing support of our athletes and families, and also for your continued belief in our children and youth!
Coach Dino’s Recruiting Academy serves to help student-athletes, parents, teachers and counsellors navigate through the increasingly competitive and confusing world of university athletic recruiting. Appreciating the process and the opportunity are key in achieving the best university fit. “There are lots of options, which one is right for you.” As a student-athlete goes through the recruiting process they will develop so many characteristics that will serve to be useful in all areas of their life for the rest of their lives.
