The interest in blockchain is taking off in Puerto Rico. Three months ago, almost no one in the halls of government had any plans on supporting legislation to promote blockchain-based solutions to transform government operations and services. Next month, the second GBA meetup will be held at the Puerto Rico Capitol Building.
Blockchain is now on the agenda of leaders in the executive, legislative and judicial branches of governments world-wide and Puerto Rico is not an exception. We will host events for congressional representatives and support capacity building and provide a platform where people in this space can communicate, collaborate, develop their capabilities and work together to find solutions.
Thank you for participating and we look forward to having you as a member and collaborating to advance development of this technology to implement real solutions for governments and their citizens in Puerto Rico and around the world.
Blockchain will be introduced at the Puerto Rico Investment Summit on February 12th and 13th. The first time the local financial services industry will get a taste on the importance of blockchain technology. Join the GBA and work with global members on a wide range of working groups including Contract Management, Financial Oversight, Blockchain Economic Analysis, Education, Land & Title, Legal & Legislative and Healthcare.
Tentative for February 21st at Puerto Rico Capitol Building in Old San Juan. This meetvup will focus on providing legislative and regulatory recommendations to legislative bodies and government regulators.
There will be time for networking, in addition to a presentation on a government blockchain related topic, Q&A's and networking.
