Lawrence Wilcox leads the County into 2018 as Chairman of the Board of Supervisors with emphasis on the supervisors making the decisions that run the county.
Do you know who your supervisor is?
What feedback or support can you offer him/her?

CONCERN: Are supervisors given information in a timely manner in order to make well thought out decisions in committee and board meetings?
Can a supervisor bring up an issue in a committee meeting that is not on the agenda?
Do supervisors receive the agenda before their meeting?

Some highlights...
Airport - Passed FAA PAPI inspection
Alternate process will be pursued to transfer funds when fuel is needed at airport.

GRANT ACTIVITY
After being introduced in this committee in June 2017, the Ag. Buildings and Grounds uncovered the $150,000 Green Energy Grant in their December meeting, and put "their energy" into it to move it back to this committee.
The committee is now moving it forward.
The four requirements will be initiated in order to qualify for the Grant.
Buildings and Grounds, Sheriff's Dept. and Public Works all have numerous projects for the grant money.
Another county is also interested.
Whoever fulfills the necessary prerequsites first, will get the grant.
Individual towns also can enter a process for the $50,000 grants.

Health and Human Services Committee
Resolution by the Board is needed to advertize VA position and follow through... was this the missing link to hasten the process since March of 2017?
Veterans came to the January 29th meeting and brought attention to the Committee of the present need in the County. It is on the agenda to be acted upon in the February meeting.

1ST MONDAY OF THE MONTH at BOHEMIAN MOON

SAVE THE DATE!!!

Chenango Links hosted Rural Health Network dinner in November & Holiday Celebration in December in place of the MONDAY MOVIES. It was good to have a variety of events. Upon returning to regular format, I thought it would be fun to have a variety of programs.

So…… 2018 could be more audience engaging with speakers & informative documentaries that would lead to our personal development & contribution to our community, snuck in there will be few movies as well.

February seems a good time to begin exploring how some people with opposing views get along to find common ground. It has been the plaguing question for members of Chenango Links - how do we talk to people who hold different views? How do we stop singing to the choir and sing to the general public?

Join us for food, drinks, exchange of ideas & experiences as we discuss the dialogue of two prominent professors from Princeton & Harvard.
