Call for Feedback: What are the Ethical Issues Facing our Field?
In preparation for our upcoming Critical Dialogue on Ethics, we’d like to ask you—the Forum membership—what you feel are the most critical ethical issues facing our field today. Feel free to frame your thoughts in any way you’d like—from abstract questions of principle to concrete case studies that you’ve struggled with.
When reviewing the Code of Ethics for Education Abroad, do you note any issues that are not addressed that should be added, or updated in any future revisions of the code?
Attendance at the Critical Dialogue is not a prerequisite for responding—we want to take the pulse of the field broadly, and will use your feedback for the Critical Dialogue and as we reflect on The Forum’s Code of Ethics in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
We look forward it hearing from you!

4th European Conference: Submit Proposals and Join The Forum in Prague
The theme of The Forum’s 4th European Conference: "Local, National, Global: Understanding Diversity and Community in Europe," considers how U.S. students in Europe are challenged to integrate into their host communities and to understand the broader national and regional contexts that shape their experiences, while developing their own identities and defining their places in the world. This topic and relevant issues are the focus of the conference, hosted by NYU Prague in Prague, Czech Republic, October 17-19, 2018.
The Forum is particularly interested in session proposals from international education and faculty colleagues based in Europe with experience in and knowledge of U.S. education abroad.
The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, February 9.
