Brett Hage, President of T&D Distribution in Wildwood, Received the Florida Economic Development Council's East Central Region Volunteer of the Year Award for 2017

Annually, FEDC recognizes volunteers across Florida who champion game-changing economic, community and workforce development initiatives in their respective communities or regions. Mr. Hage’s longstanding contributions to economic development in Sumter County go well beyond his interaction and support of Sumter County Economic Development’s efforts. His volunteer activities include involvement on many community economic development-related committees and boards.

Sumter County exhibits at tpie

Sumter County Economic Development exhibited at the Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition in Fort Lauderdale this month. In addition to the vast array of tropical plants, we learned new trends that are emerging in the industry. Trends included greenhouse automation and soil media additives.  It was a great opportunity to meet businesses looking to expand or relocate and share information about our existing agribusinesses.
