No Kill Pima County on The Morning Blend. See VIDEO
No Kill Pima County shared information on Morning Blend to bring attention to one of the specific types of pets often arriving at Pima Animal Care Center that need the support of savethesaveable.com: diabetic cats- when cats with this treatable condition come to the shelter they cannot be maintained there and therefore need a life-saving intervention from the community. Jessica Shuman explains the need for adoptive homes who can provide this type of care.  Let us know if you can help the next time a diabetic cat shows up at the county shelter! Save a life!

Note one correction to the announcement at the end of the segment: the upcoming event, today, for savethesaveable.com is by No Kill Pima County. Much of our work benefits the animals at Pima Animal Care Center, but we are a separate, private organization and the funding does not go to Pima Animal Care Center. It is common to see people interchange our organization with the County shelter. That's something we are working on. More about that next month!
Spread the word about our next microchipping event in February!

URGENT: Moose AKA Zeus A569929, 4 years old, 62 pounds, will need to find placement with a PACC rescue partner by 1/31/18 or he will be put down.

Moose is a goofy & energetic guy,  house trained, knows sit , shake , down and loves playing with toys. He has been co-housed with another dog and did well. When Moose was recently adopted he got into a scuffle with the other dog in the home. the adopter went to break it up and Moose bit. Unfortunately Moose does now have two bites on his history and therefore the shelter will only allow him to go to a rescue group for rehabilitation.

If interested in helping Moose, contact a reputable rescue group with your offer to foster him.
Carly Krabitz!
Carley Krabitz #A010337 isn't what most adopters are looking for--she is sassy, swatty and she grumbles. Her purrson died and left her alone and she has no problem telling you that she is hurting. At the same time she is very engaged and curious. She wants to be part of your life, just not that petting part. She is extremely intelligent and food driven.  Needs a home that will  keep her mind busy and let her heart heal. Is that you?
No Kill Pima County is not a shelter. The pets we feature are located at PACC, the municipal shelter at 4000 N. Silverbell. Some may have been  moved to a PACC foster home or Petsmart location. Call the shelter at 520-724-7222 before you go. Adoption fees are waived for seniors, special needs pets and those that have been waiting too long.
