Building Knowledge to Strengthen the Child Welfare Workforce

Exploring Data

The Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Development (QIC-WD) is working with our sites to explore data related to human resources, readiness for change, agency culture and climate, turnover, and secondary trauma among child welfare workers. Learn about our approach to exploring each site’s needs and opportunities for a workforce intervention.

Check out what is happening in the QIC-WD Sites! Two of our sites were recently recognized for their work. In Virginia, the agency is using technology to enhance how their caseworkers can access and record information from the field. The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians received an award for their approach to keeping families safe, intact, and functioning.

Sharing and Learning

The QIC-WD is pleased to have the opportunity to share what we are learning and to learn from our peers at two national conferences. On January 14, 2018 we presented at the Society for Social Work and Research conference in Washington, DC. Please join us at the American Society for Public Administration conference in Denver, CO on March 12, 2018.

Join the Conversation and Learn What Others Are Doing

We are preparing to gather input from key personnel at state and county child welfare agencies to inform the latest workforce trends in the U.S. We hope your agency will join the conversation!
