From February 4 to 10, VIDEA is joining thousands of Canadians in celebrating International Development Week

 

Come Celebrate With Us!

Every year, VIDEA puts together a range of events to celebrate International Development Week. Join us for #IDW2018, when we jointly celebrate an exciting milestone - our 40th birthday! 

Check out the awesome events that we have in store for you and invite your network to join in! 

Monday 04

We're kicking off #IDW2018 with a series of Development Games to help students at the University of Victoria to better understand international development! Join us from 1:30 - 4:00pm at the Petch Fountain on UVIC Campus.

Wednesday 07

Want to learn more about VIDEA and the people behind the organization? Come down to our main office (1923 Fernwood Road) from 5:00 - 7:30pm for an open house.
Also on Wednesday, join us for a night of socializing and trivia with like-minded folks interested in global issues and development at Mesa Familiar (1296 Gladstone Ave) from 7:30 - 8:30pm.

Thursday 08

Award-winning author and former history professor, Dr. Larry Hannant gives his unique perspective on the recent conflicts in Palestine at Camosun College (Fisher Building, Room 212, Landsowne Campus) from 3:30 - 4:30pm.

Friday 09

VIDEA's returned interns will be sharing their own experiences while discussing the challenges and critiques of voluntourism at 1:30pm on UVIC Campus - the room is to be announced.
