Reception on February 3!

The Del Mar Art Center Gallery presents "Art Comes Alive", an exhibit of work by 36 emerging and established San Diego artists working in oil, acrylic, pastel, printmaking, sculpture, metal relief, wood, marquetry, pottery and jewelry.  It is an amazing variety of affordable art, just in time for Valentine's day!

Spoiler alert: two of my pieces that are in the René Carcan International Prize for Printmaking exhibit is Brussels are included in this local exhibit as well.  This is one of the joys of original printmaking - they can be in two places at once!

The gallery is located in the Plaza-top level on the corner of Camino del Mar and 15th Street in Del Mar. Two hour underground parking will be validated. The event officially starts at 5pm, but auction items will be out for viewing the day before.

The gallery is a non-profit artist cooperative working to promote local artists as well as support the young art community with annual scholarship and art supply donations. Please stop by and enjoy one of Del Mar’s hidden gems!

I Need Your Help...

I am one of only four American artists to be selected as a finalist in the René Carcan International Grand Prize in Printmaking! The professional jury is meeting to determine the award winners, and the ceremony will be February 15. I plan to be in Brussels for the festivities.

I would love to be the "Public Prize" winner, with your help.

There are two ways you can help:
You can vote, if you haven't already.

You can share the voting links on your social media and ask your friends to vote.

When you follow the first link, you will see "Last Light" with a blue "like" button next to it. ("Like" = vote.)  You may vote for more than one piece, but you can only vote for a specific piece once.  Click on each image to enlarge it and see the voting button or use the links above to go to each one.

It only takes a minute - but I understand you have to have a Facebook account to vote.

Please share this with others and give them the opportunity to support my work in this simple way! It costs you nothing but a moment of your time. Use the buttons on the René Carcan website for your favorite "social share" or Share my Facebook Post.
