Family Science Night sure was a blast last week! We had a wonderful turnout and we hope you all had as much fun exploring the science stations as our staff did! Remember, Science Fair Projects are due on March 6 and we hope your student was inspired by some of the activities from Family Science Night.
It looks like today is going to be a pretty cold one, with temperatures expected to continue dropping over the course of the week. Thank you for continuing to make sure your child is dressed for the weather and please remember that we are happy to help if you ever need any extra winter gear. Just let your teacher or our office know.
We will finally get to have a full 5-days of school this week, although next week is going to be another short one. Next Thursday, February 1, is an Early Dismissal day at 1:30 PM, and there is no school at all next Friday, February 2. Please make sure these days are on your calendar. Thank you for juggling your busy schedules, Anne Wien families. Stay warm this week!

Order your Yearbook!

It’s time to order your yearbook! Pre-orders for yearbooks are now open. Those pre-ordering a yearbook will be guaranteed a full-color yearbook for $15. Order forms can be returned with exact cash or checks payable to Anne Wien PTA. You can also order your yearbook online. Go to: ybpay.lifetouch.com and enter Yearbook ID Code: 12814718. There will be a very limited number of extra yearbooks available when orders come in, typically less than 25, so we encourage you to pre-order now.

Nominate Your Teacher!

Nominations are now being accepted statewide to recognize teachers throughout Alaska as part of the BP Teachers of Excellence program. We have a staff full of outstanding teachers here at Anne Wien! To nominate your teacher, just go to www.bpteachers.com to fill out your teacher’s information. The deadline for all nominations is next Thursday, February 1, 2018.
