Hello Neighbor!

REMINDER: The ERNC Special Meeting is TOMORROW, January 23.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council will be holding a special meeting on January 23, 2018 at 7:00pm at Eagle Rock City Hall. The sole purpose of this meeting is to discuss the proposed StorQuest storage facility at 2803 W. Broadway (formerly Ernie Jr.'s) and provide a recommendation to the City of Los Angeles. The meeting will include a presentation from the developers, and an opportunity for public comment from Eagle Rock stakeholders.

The StorQuest proposal is to build an 85,000 square foot facility on the west side of Eagle Rock. Click the link below to a folder with the full application, and a single page of the permissions they're asking for. Since this is not a "by right" project, StorQuest must prove that the facility will "enhance the built environment in the surrounding neighborhood and perform a function that is beneficial to the community" before the City Planning Commission will give them permission to build and use it. We hope that residents and business owners can provide input to help the ERNC best convey the community's wishes to the CPC and our Councilmember.

In addition to attending the meeting, please send any comments to info@ernc.la, and we will compile them and send them to the City Planning Commission.

Immediately following the ERNC Meeting will be the ERNC Land Use Committee Meeting at 8:00pm. Click below for the Land Use Committee agenda.

LAST, BUT CERTAINLY NOT LEAST - the ERNC has an opening for a Director for Subdistrict 2. See below for more information. We will be filling this opening at our regular scheduled February meeting.

See you around town!

Care to join the ERNC???

Any Eagle Rock Stakeholder interested in filling a vacancy on the Board should fill out the form at this link:

 ERNC Candidate Filing Form

Submit by snail-mail or by email to executive@ernc.la. Deadline for receipt of submissions is 12:00 noon on the day of our Board Meeting, which is Tuesday, February 6. Forms received after the deadline will not be considered for the open seats.

Interested parties will also need to appear at the meeting where you will be asked a lot of tough - but fair - questions, and the board will vote on your candidacy. Before applying, please make sure to read the ERNC Bylaws, which contain a description of the seat's requirements, and all the info you need to know about eligibility, and being a board member.

If you have questions about the ERNC, our meetings, or how to get involved in making Eagle Rock a better place, just send us an email at:
