First Friday Happy Hour at Scape
February 2, 2018

Join the CWEA for First Friday Happy Hour at Scape, an American Bistro with European Style.

Like the vibrant neighborhood surrounding it, Scape is an eclectic blend of classic and contemporary. The inventive American cuisine is set against a backdrop of warmth and sophistication. Scape, which opened in October 2007, is conveniently located in the Central West End’s historic yet hip Maryland Plaza. The atmosphere is sophisticated and the menu is creative yet approachable. Whether enjoying a dinner with colleagues, an after-work cocktail at the bar or an intimate dinner for two, Scape is a welcome addition to the St. Louis dining scene. Only 44 seats left!

STL Symphony: 50 Years at Powell Hall
Tuesday, January 16, 2018 (10:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
Central Library

Celebrate the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra by visiting St. Louis Public Library's upcoming exhibit "STL Symphony: 50 Years at Powell Hall" on display January 16 through March 17 at Central Library, 1301 Olive Street.

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra is the second-oldest orchestra in the country, but it lacked a permanent home for most of its existence. In 1968, the St. Louis Theatre became Powell Hall and the official home of the Symphony.

The Library's original exhibit will feature historical posters, conductor's sheet music, photographs and other amazing memorabilia from the half-century.

For a full list of Schlafly Branch events, visit the
St. Louis Public Library events page.
