Converse with your Councillors - Jan. 30

Budget season is upon us, which means Gibsons' Town and Council are currently making decisions about this year's spending priorities. "Is the Town of Gibsons Going Broke?" is the topic of January's "Converse with Your Councillors" discussion, starting at 7pm on Tuesday, Jan. 30 at the GPAG.

Learn what the Town's 'must-haves' are in this year's budget, how they will be paid for, and what special projects are being considered. If you have ideas for a small community-enhancing project, this is the place to present it for initial discussion. All are welcome!

The Coast's got talent - here's where to find it!
Work BC will be hosting three - count 'em, 3! - Job Fairs this spring. The February 16 session at the Sechelt Band Hall connects employers and skilled trades workers. Pender Harbour is the focus of the March 9 session at the PH Community Centre. The series wraps on April 6 a Coast-wide hiring fair at Gibsons Area Community Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for business owners to link to all WorkBC's resources for hiring, training, and grant programs to ensure staffing and service will be seamless during the busy summer season.
