A few of my patients have reacted to salon hair dyes. This lady's bald patch on her crown appeared after 1 hair dye treatment and expanded over time. I decided to look at all the chemicals in hair dyes and there are so many toxic ones. The main ones are PPD, Resorcin, Ammonia, Parabens and Phenylenediamines and parabens. Some hair products claim they are ammonia free but contained ammonium hydroxide. So it doesn't smell but it's still toxic. The Biokap range covers grey well without any of these toxic chemicals. There's also asmall range for extremely sensitive skin.
Plus if you prefer to go to a salon, delay hair dye treatments with their DIY sprays.
It's very easy to do at home. This is suitable for light brown hair but not dark brown.
