Grants Program 2018 – Round 1 now open
The March 2018 round of the Law and Justice Foundation’s General grants program is now open. Applications close on 31 March. The Foundation provides grants of up to $50,000 to community organisations for projects that increase access to justice, particularly for people who are socially or economically disadvantaged.
The focus of the grants program is on projects from which lessons will be learned that contribute to identifying effective reforms, initiatives and programs to address legal need.
How to apply

This one-day workshop provides skills to launch an advocacy strategy into action. The workshop covers: influencing and pitching skills, skills and strategies for influencing decision makers, planning a delegation, determining targets, goals, allies and opponents, negotiation skills, principles of interest-based negotiation, using emotions in negotiation, planning negotiation, media skills including planning your media message, what makes a good story? and working with the media. The course can be taken in conjunction with Advocacy Strategies (see below) to form a two day workshop.
