We are excited to announce that the Monarch Waystation Network Newsletter is back!

Greetings, and a Happy New Year to all of you Monarch Watch Network participants! I hope you are doing well, having a great school year, and are still as passionate about monarchs and other pollinators as you were when I last contacted you. After my position as the Education Coordinator ended last summer, I went back into the classroom after a two year break. I am now working as a 6th grade teacher here in Lawrence, KS.

Dr. Taylor, the founder and director of Monarch Watch, recently contacted me about potentially continuing the newsletter component of the MWN. Of course I told him that I would love to...so "hello again!"

I would like to begin by requesting some information from you, when you have time. It would be extremely helpful for me to have your input in order to help shape the newsletter. Please be as honest and specific as you can. Looking back at your feedback last spring, I believe we can all agree on the importance of providing educational opportunities for young people to learn about monarchs, pollinators, gardening and conservation work. Returning to the classroom has validated this belief. We, educators, truly do play a vital role in shaping the philosophies and lives of our students, in turn leaving an impact on this world we will never understand fully.

Thanks so much for taking a few minutes to complete this survey. Your input is imperative, as the purpose of the MWN Newsletter is to benefit YOU. I am excited to get this going again, to hear your inspiring stories and to join together in our conservation efforts!
