Dear Everyone,
Valentine's Day is almost upon us once more. Why not make something special for someone special? Perhaps you've been steadily working away creating a magnum opus for this day, or maybe you hadn't given it a thought. Gold Star if it's the first, but if it's the latter of these two you've still got time to choose some lovely fabric and make something simple but beautiful, like a cushion or even a unique appliquéd card to let that someone special know that you really care for them. Time and effort with a personal touch is a priceless gift to give.
Some time, effort and love went into the making of soft toy versions of Hansel and Gretel from Brothers Grimm, which have been featuring in our shop this week. One of our lovely tutors, Suzanne Fisher, made up the charming figures from the panel set in Just Another Walk in the Woods collection by Stacy Iest Hsu for Moda Fabrics. They have been casually placed on our cutting tables, garnering admiration and attention since Sue brought them in. Very Sweet they look too. If you want to make your own versions of this delightful pair and their animal entourage we've still some of these panels left, but be quick as there may not be for long!
Hansel and Gretel's Rabbit has taken to wandering around the shop lately though.
