Yoga by Donation

Women's Centre YOGA is back in Squamish!  Beginning in February, all women are invited to attend by donation drop-in yoga every Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30am at the Yoga Studio (Upstairs, 37776 2nd Ave, downtown Squamish). No experience necessary.  This class is offered as an opportunity for women to connect and take care of themselves, and is taught by friendly and experienced local instructors.  Please help us spread the word that this popular program is back!
 
The Whistler Women’s Centre offers Karma Yoga Thursday mornings from 9:30-10:30am at the drop-in centre (1519 Spring Creek Drive, Whistler).

Outreach at Whistler Public Library   

Whistler Women’s Centre will be providing outreach at the Whistler Public Library every Monday from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. No appointment necessary. 

Finding Beauty - Mindfulness and Expressive Arts Group for Girls

Last month, 5 youth grades 5-7 and their female caregivers participated in Finding Beauty, a 5-week expressive arts and mindfulness group.  The group focused on finding beauty in ourselves, in others, and in the world we share.

International Women's Day Raising Our Voices

Mark your calendars.  Howe Sound Women’s Centre Society will be hosting our annual fundraising event ‘Raising Our Voices, a Celebration of International Women’s Day through Song’ at the Maurice Young Arts Centre in Whistler Thursday March 8, 2018. Details to come.

International Women's Day Art Show

The International Women’s Day Art Show will be on display in the Foyer Gallery of Squamish Public Library March 6-April 2, 2018.  The Mission of the Women’s Art Show Project is to honor and celebrate women’s expression in both visual and written form.  This year’s theme is “Nourish.”
