Dear Members,

On September 15, 2018, it will be 10 years since the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the start of the financial crisis. Across Europe civil society organisations, trade unions and social movements are planning various activities and we would like to plan something in Scotland.

 We need to come together and learn the lessons from the last 10 years, assess where we are at and act strongly and collectively against the destructive power of the financial sector. We’ve got various plans here at Jubilee -  including a conference on economics featuring our own version of Question Time and workshops on reimagining the economy and an action at RBS HQ - however, we would love it if our members got involved and helped shape this work. We’re open to all suggestions and think there’s some real potential to use this opportunity to get lots more attention around these issues.
