Today in NHL history: Feb. 8, 1975 – Minnesota North Stars’ rookie Peter LoPresti recorded his first career shutout in a 5-0 win over the Flyers. With the shutout, Peter became part of the first father-son combo to record NHL shutouts. His father, Sam, recorded four in the 1940s with the Blackhawks.
