Epic snowfalls in the Alps
After two years of keeping us on our toes, the snow gods in the Alps have done us proud! Off piste ski groups are now enjoying exceptional snow cover on the glaciers, and this is also great for snow route conditions in the summer season too, which is very welcome news!

This photo was taken last week in Chamonix, of moonrise over the snow plastered ridge crest of the Aiguilles. Fortunately the avalanche risk has now reduced, and our groups are enjoying the great conditions for ice climbing, snowshoeing, ski touring, and off piste. The powder fields of the Vallée Blanche are stunning at present!

Ski Mount Elbrus 5642m
At over 800m higher than Mont Blanc, Elbrus is the “Seventh Summit” of Europe. This is a physically tough ski tour in magnificent scenery, and although it is not as technical as a ski tour of Mont Blanc, the importance of previous altitude experience and acclimatisation is far greater.
