That’s great news if you don’t want to eat into your federal refund or fork over your credit card number before sending your tax return off to the IRS.

Several services also offer free state tax returns, raising the possibility of a completely fee-free tax season. If you could live anywhere in the world, wouldn’t you want to know the countries with the highest income taxes before moving? Perhaps, but that’s not the only question to ask. The most highly taxed places to live would depend not just on your income but also on your filing status. Furthermore, the countries with the highest taxes on high incomes – Portugal, Slovenia, Belgium, Finland and Sweden – are mostly different from the countries with the highest taxes on average income earners. Contrary to what Trump says, the U.S. isn't even in the top 15 for countries with the highest income tax.
