Chamber Applauds Advances in Manufacturing
Ron Harper, President of Cogent Power Inc. and a leading voice in the field of smart manufacturing, is helping promote the application of Industry 4.0 practices across our region. He spoke at a recent event organized by the Golden Horseshoe Manufacturing Network and shared the benefits of “interconnected systems” that provide companies with a competitive advantage on the world stage. “Ron’s message aligns with our chamber’s support for next generation manufacturing in our community and beyond,” said Chamber CEO Keanin Loomis. Click HERE to learn more and access an audio recording of Ron’s talk.

1) Last week, in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, we released the second annual Ontario Economic Report (OER), a comprehensive analysis of data and emerging trends on the economic health of the province. Click HERE to read more.

2) Hamilton was named as a top 7 Intelligent Community for the year 2018 by the Intelligent Community Forum. This award is a recognition of the strong collaboration between the stakeholders, leadership from the City of Hamilton and the progress our community has made over the past few years. 3) Last week, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce network released their policy priorities for 2018 called 10 Ways to Build a Canada that Wins, a document that provides business, decision-makers and government with a series of clear priorities and objectives that our network believes will improve growth and productivity in Canada.
