1. How Bell Let’s Talk became a triple win for BCE, consumers and the mental health cause, by Emily Jackson, Financial Post
One in five Canadians experiences a mental health or addiction problem in any given year. Two-thirds of them don’t reach out for help, mainly due to the stigma attached to mental health issues. The Bell Let's Talk program is about removing that stigma, and helping people speak up. On Jan 31st, the company also donated 5 cents for every call, text & tweet about mental health. After more than 138 million of them, it donated $6.9 million to mental health initiatives.

5. New Book: The Mind of the Leader by Rasmus Hougaard and Jacqueline Carter, from Harvard Business Review Publishing. Publication date: March 13th
This eagerly-anticipated book explores what it means for leaders to be humans before managers, and why that's so vital. Based on extensive new research, including assessments of more than 35,000 leaders and interviews with 250 C-level executives, it finds that organizations and leaders aren't meeting employees' basic human needs of finding meaning, purpose, connection, and genuine happiness in their work.
“In a 2016 McKinsey & Company study of more than 52,000 managers, 86% rated themselves as inspiring and good role models. But this stands in stark contrast to how employees perceive their leaders. A 2016 Gallup engagement survey found that 82% of employees see their leaders as fundamentally uninspiring.”
6. Sharing Love in the Workplace with Lance Secretan, on audio & video,

2. Quotes for the Month
a) People put you down enough and you start to believe it... The bad stuff is easier to believe. Ever notice that? - spoken by Vivian (Julia Robert's character), in Pretty Woman

b) Truth is powerful and in a really good film we recognize the truth about ourselves, about others. It's so powerful it can even change people's minds, touch people's hearts, and ultimately even change society itself. - Barbra Streisand, 2018 Golden Globe Awards

c) [This is] not just a story affecting the entertainment industry. It's one that transcends any culture, geography, race, religion, politics, or workplace. So I want tonight to express gratitude to all the women who have endured years of abuse and assault because they, like my mother, had children to feed and bills to pay and dreams to pursue. They're the women whose names we'll never know. They are domestic workers and farm workers. They are working in factories and they work in restaurants, and they're in academia, engineering, medicine, and science. They're part of the world of tech and politics and business. They're our athletes in the Olympics and they're our soldiers in the military. - Oprah Winfrey, 2018 Golden Globes

d) True religion is to faith what voice is to a thought. It puts flesh on the bones of faith. - Greg Paul, from his new book: Resurrecting Religion

3. Oprah Winfrey speaking about "Times's Up" at the Golden Globe Awards

4. Lady Gaga is ever-changing (article from eonline)
+ New song: Joanne (Where Do You Think You're Goin'?)
"Joanne was my father's sister who died at the age of 19 from the auto-immune disease Lupus. She was a powerful, beautiful force in my family's life -- and then it's like a beautiful light that just goes out... I've always used the fact that she didn't get to live the rest of her life as a sense of strength and power within me..."
