Festival 2018

As I write this newsletter, we are very close to finalising the programme for Festival 2018 which will be held over the weekend of  8 - 10 June 2018.  The full detail of the walking programme will be available from about mid March and tickets will be on sale from Tuesday 3rd April.

More information on the ticketing arrangements will appear in next month's newsletter - however in the meantime you can help us spread the word about Festival 2018 by printing and displaying this Save the Date poster.

Walking Opportunities

The Corsham area provides walking opportunities all year round - whether self guided or with a local group.  The Corsham Bookshop and the Tourist Information Centre in Corsham High Street both have a small selection of booklets of local walks available for purchase and in addition there are a number of on line resources.

A number of national and local groups walk regularly in Corsham and the surrounding area and welcome new walkers.  If you do not walk regularly with the relevant group, it is advisable to contact them beforehand so they are aware of likely numbers on the walk.  More information - including contact details - can be found on the Corsham Walking Festival website or downloaded here

Walkers Are Welcome

The Walkers are Welcome updates for December and January contains seasonal news from around the Walkers are Welcome network.

The Walkers are Welcome website has just been relaunched and it is heartening to see advance notice of so many walking challenges and festivals.  The website might be worth consulting when planning your holidays in the UK!

And Finally

For the last couple of months, the email accounts used by the Corsham Walking Festival committee have not been working consistently.  We believe the issue has been resolved and an up to date list of Committee contact details is on the website..  If you are still waiting for a response to an email you have sent in the last couple of months, please get in touch.

Despite the low temperatures we are experiencing currently, the days are definitely lengthening and I hope to see you on a walk in the Corsham area soon.
