Hi Lafayette Families!
Just a quick President’s note this month encouraging participation in Auction Procurement, Budget Committee, and Board Member search for 2018-19. If you can tap into your networks for auction donations, people who may want to volunteer on the school budget committee and/or the board for the new school year we would so appreciate the help toward building fiscal strength and volunteerism in our community. Speaking of the Lafayette community, please take time to welcome any new Genesee Hill Elementary School families that you meet who will be attending our school next year. We look forward to welcoming them into our village and continuing to be supportive of all Lafayette learners as the boundaries transition to include more families.

FEBRURY 6, 2018: SEATTLE SEAHAWKS MASCOT BLITZ VISIT
Blitz from the Seahawks is coming to Lafayette! Find out more on the new Running Club page.
FEBRUARY 7, 2018, 7 PM: KINDERGARTEN PARENT MEET UP AT MISSION
In an effort to promote community and get to know each other outside of drop-off/pick-up, kindergarten parents are gathering at Mission for their 3rd meet up. If you have been able to make these social gatherings yet, don’t worry be on the lookout for more future dates.
FEBRURY 16, 2018: JUMP ROPE FOR HEART
Through Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart, Lafayette can earn money for PE equipment while raising awareness for heart disease and the importance of heart healthy habits. Donations can be accepted using the envelope sent home and/or online.
FEBRURY 27, 2018: PTA GENERAL MEETING
Our speaker will be from BeSmart, a program about kids, guns, and safety. As always, childcare is available in the gym.
MARCH 31, 2018: SAVE THE DATE! LAFAYETTE AUCTION
This year, the Lafayette Auction will be at the Brockey Center. We are still in need of a Procurement Chair, please contact the Auction Committee. The time to procure and/or donate items for the silent auction is NOW! Interested in volunteering or donating? Lafayette is launching the Girls on the Run program in March and we are looking for volunteer coaches. Volunteer and find out more here.
