February has been a great month! We've kicked off a strong start to 2018 with the Reel Green General Meeting and the Carbon Literacy Classes packed with industry members who are passionate about making a difference! The Reel Green team continues to push fowards its Strategic Plan with some exciting new ideas on the table.

Local producer, Clara George, is spearheading an initaitive to reduce emissions in the motion picture industry. This initiative looks to prioritize the use of hybrid and electric vehicles on productions. We're calling to all Producers, Production Managers, and Transport Coordinators to join this effort!

Did you know fewer than half of the plastic bottles bought in 2016 were collected for recycling and only 7% of those collected were recycled into new bottles? Instead most plastic bottles produced end up in landfill or in the ocean.

#GreenFilmTip: Talk to cast and crew about the importance of bringing a reuseable water bottle to set or consider giving reusable water bottles to cast and crew to promote sustainable production practices!
