Ocean View Beach Club Amenity
Willow Construction recently completed the Ocean View Beach Club Amenity in Ocean View, Delaware. We’re thrilled with the buildings awe-inspiring architectural design that embodies the character of the overall community! The project included:

- New construction of a 9,138 square foot clubhouse
- New construction of a 4,700 square foot inground pool
- New construction of a pool equipment building
- New construction of pickleball courts, fountain and fire pit
Clubhouse Features Include:
- Main lobby with custom water wall
- Game room, billiard room, fitness center and banquet space
- Locker rooms with sauna/steam rooms and massage suites

Denton Shore Medical Pavilion
Willow Construction is currently working on the 49,860 square foot Medical Pavilion located in Denton, Maryland. The medical pavilion will be a two-story steel framed building, to include brick veneer and a shingled roof. Footings have been poured, foundations are installed, and our team is currently roughing-in under-slab utilities and continuing with site work. The project is expected to be completed in November of 2018.

Berlin Police Department
Willow Construction recently celebrated the Ribbon Cutting of the new Berlin Police Department. Thank you to the Police Department and Town of Berlin Council Members for entrusting Willow to work with you on this project. It will be a huge asset not only to the Town of Berlin but also the entire law enforcement community in the region.

Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) has announced that the unemployment report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows growth in both public and private construction spending, according to an analysis by ABC. Construction added 36,000 net new jobs in January, an impressive increase of 0.5% on a month-over-month basis.
During the past 12 months, construction has added 226,000 net new jobs, which translates into 3.3% growth. The nation added 200,000 jobs across all non-farm segments in January, with construction compromising a strong 18% of that growth.

We are excited to welcome five new team members to Willow Construction
|

Dave Marsden, CHC joined our team in October as a Project Manager. Dave graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masters of Engineering and Construction Management, and from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Dave brings with him 19 years of Commercial Construction Management experience and will provide overall administration and coordination for the construction of the new Denton Shore Medical Pavilion, Londonderry Clubhouse, and Symphony Village Clubhouse.

Ahmed Eissa also joined our team in October as a Project Engineer. Eissa, as he prefers, is a graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management Technology and has nine year’s experience in the construction field. He will be providing overall administrative and technical support to the Project Management Team on the new Denton Shore Medical Pavilion.

Myra McAdory has joined Willow as our Administrative Assistant. Myra is a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where she studied Anthropology. Myra’s past experiences include serving as a Marketing Representative for Crow Farm and Vineyard and as a Sales Project Manager for CDF Services in Chestertown, Maryland.

Mike Funk joined our team in December, he is currently serving as an assistant superintendent at our Galloway Meadows 72 Unit Multi-Family project in Easton, Maryland. Mike comes to Willow with 25 years of commercial and residential construction experience.

Peter Heck is our newest team member and will also be serving as an assistant superintendent at our Galloway Meadows project. Peter is currently completing his Associates of Applied Science in Construction Management degree at Anne Arundel Community College. Before joining Willow, Peter interned as a Project Engineer at DPR construction in Ashburn, Virginia.

Andy Cheezum has completed the professional development program dedicated to building a better Maryland by harnessing the strength of its local business and community leaders. Leadership Maryland honored Andy, a resident of Centreville, and the entire Class of 2017 at its 25th annual graduation ceremony held December 5 at the Lord Baltimore Hotel. Congratulations Andy!

Willow Construction had the pleasure of hosting ACE Mentor Program of Maryland's Eastern Shore Students for two separate weeks. During their visits, the students were able to gain hands-on experience as it pertains to estimating and scheduling in the construction industry. Thanks to our team members Mike Hiner, Joe Buckley, Thad Waters, and Shaquille Turner for putting together learning programs for the students.

The Talbot County Young Professionals held their 14th annual Toys for Tots Drive. Willow Construction was proud to support the Young Professionals group and the Toys for Tots Campaign. Our team joined the local community to donate and collect toys for families on the Eastern Shore. Throughout the months of October, November, and December our associates donated and collected toys. The toy drive campaign was a huge success with over 2,500 toys and $4,000 collected for the local Toys for Tots Distribution.
