George Cook – the old and faithful WDS Truck Driver retired at the age of 80. George started with us on 17th of March 1989 with almost 29 years under his belt at WDS has moved on to retirement.
George’s roles varied over the years from counter sales in the early days to warehouse and finally to delivery and transport. He has seen all the ups and the downs in this
business and many changes we have evolved though over the last 29 years . All the staff and management wish George all the very best in retirement and a well-earned rest.
Ransomware attack on The WDS Group system..
Unfortunately over the past week (28/01/18 to 07/02 /18 ) we were cannon fodder for hackers whom somehow infiltrated our system with Ransomware, despite all the security we had in place of which we were struck twice in a period of a week. The attack was so bad they encrypted our whole server and we were left with no computer system to work with. Geforce our network support people were fast to react and try and retrieve our data and our staff have managed to get everything back on track as fast as possible.
