February 2018 News Letter
Happy  February. What inspires people to travel? Bucket list inspiration or even excitement.
Traveling can change your life and broaden your horizons. People can inspire you to travel by the stories they tell you of their wonderful trips. You can learn about the world when you travel.
Some people are inspired to travel because of their love for art, history or fascination with architecture.
I have definitely fallen under the travel spell.
I have visited many places in Europe, the Culloden battlefield in Moray Scotland, the Berlin in Germany, Trinity College in Ireland, the Hermitage in Russia, the Netherlands and many, many more.
I become ecstatic and breathless when I see my travel clients express their awe, gratitude and happiness after having experienced the Edinburg Castle, Big Ben, the Cliffs of Mohr, Buckingham Palace and many more places that will be embedded in their minds forever.   
You get to see places that you saw in the movies, get to try new food, you are open to change, to break away from your comfort zone and try new things. Many people find happiness in traveling. They gain clarity on  who they are.
What inspires you to travel?
In January I had my new friends Gary Eley and Jimmy Ortiz from Galveston cruise the Western Caribbean. Mac and I met them on a cruise last January.  They had such a great time, they love life and traveling. They sent pictures showing the fun they had. Thank you Gary and Jimmy.

Mac's Hot Travel Tips-

"Book early and don't leave at the last minute for your destination"

Keeping calm and organized comes easily to some people, but for the majority of us, we need to be reminded for our own sanity's sake-
  • Plan for plenty of time to get to your airport- especially if it is a distance from your home. Or better yet, stay the night before at the airport hotel.
  • Keep all your passports and travel documents in a travel case/wallet
  • Double check mail delivery and newspaper are stopped 
  • Leave emergency contact information of your whereabouts with a trusted family member, neighbor, etc.  Also, remember to leave a key with someone should there be an emergency at your home.

Holland America - Alaska Land and Cruise
