Great fun doing some Scottish dances last week! In addition, Beate taught the Israeli dance, Shlosha Tranim La Oniah (Wooden Boat). Thank you!

Extra events are optional and are listed here for your information. If a couple of hours of dancing once a week on Thursdays is as much as you want or can manage, that is fine!
- Tuesday Feb 13 to Friday Feb 16, and Monday Feb 19: Teaching to grades K-3 at Surrey Christian School, 8888 162 St.
- Thursday, Feb 15, the school is not available - dancing will be in Dale's studio.
- Wed, Feb 21, 1pm: 15 minute Mother Language Day demonstration in Richmond. Each dance will have non-English lyrics and start with an explanation of the lyrics in English. At the Melville Centre on the KPU campus, 8771 Lansdowne Rd, Richmond.
- Sometime in April or later, demonstration at Weatherby Pavilion where Jeannette is living.
- Pre-festival workshop with Sonia and Cristian, Thursday, April 19, 7-10pm.
- Lyrids Folk Dance Festival, April 20-22, 2018. Featured teachers will be Sonia Dion and Cristian Florescu. Registration is open!
- Post-festival workshop with Sonia and Cristian, Tuesday, April 24, 7-10pm, at Charles Rummel Community Centre in Burnaby.
