Is it time to wake up already?
The beginning of February is always a time when we feel ourselves emerging from the slumber of Winter. Some around the new year have begun thinking about what seeds they want to start planting as the ground begins to thaw. This can also be metaphoric as we examine what do we want to cultivate spiritually, mentally, or emotionally in the year to come? How can we come into right relationship with ourselves in the coming year? What part of ourselves is out of balance and how do we bring it into balance?
These are all big questions, but the main thread that a lot of people begin feeling at this time of year is "Not having enough time". The Power Path Forecast for February goes more in depth surrounding this particular topic. It is easy to feel overwhelmed when we begin making "big plans" or goals for the year, especially when we break it down to achievable goals and spaced out. Remember that there is a difference between Excellence and Perfection.
When we fixate on perfection, and we become addicted to how things are going to look even before we begin starting crafting it, we fail even before we get started. Energetically, we are using our past experiences in order to dictate how the product is going to come out, and we become emotionally invested in whatever it is we are dedicating our time to. This makes us blind to the creative process and instead we worry, dipping into anxiety, fearing judgement from others. If our project fails, then we internalize that failure and hook our self worth into the failure. If we let go of what the end product is supposed to look like, we instead strive for excellence. When we resolve some of our stuck/stagnant emotions we can truly begin creating from our hearts instead of in our minds. Our mind has a tendency to repeat patterns, so what patterns are you repeating that you want to break? Begin thinking of this as we come more into Spring.
Form follows thought, and if you keep feeding the thoughts that make you fixate on perfection, they will grow stronger. Instead focus on letting go of what the end product is going to look like. Don't worry about how this year is going to turn out. Let go of expectations and be in the moment, be in the process. It's not about the destination, but the Journey.
