Please join us for our first A2JC 101 event of the year on February 21st! This event is for prospective and new members. We will show you how to make the most of your membership, by giving you an overview of the Jaycees beyond Ann Arbor & how you can get involved. You do not need to be a member to attend. We welcome guests and new friends to attend this event. We've invited some special guests who have great insight into the Ann Arbor chapter, the Michigan Jaycees and the US Jaycees. A2JC 101 will be 2/21 at the Keller Williams Ann Arbor office from 6-7:30!

Hello Ann Arbor Jaycees!
I was recently elected to serve as the President of the Ann Arbor Jaycees Foundation during 2018. This is great honor and opportunity and I am looking forward to a successful 2018!
For those of you that don’t know, the Foundation is the non-profit arm of the chapter. In addition to serving as a fiscal agent for the annual 4th

of July Parade, the Foundation also provides grants to the Ann Arbor Jaycees and other worthwhile causes throughout Washtenaw County. But that isn’t enough.
I read somewhere that the graveyard is the richest place in the world. I agree. I am not looking to help make the graveyard any wealthier than it already is with all dreams or ideas never acted on. Now granted (foundation humor), failure is not a concern when you do nothing new and do just the same old. Now we might fail this year doing something new and even bold. But in our heart, we know that the inaction of the same old is the true failure.
The Foundation seeks to have a much stronger partnership with the Chapter and have an increasing impact on our community. As we begin planning for 2018, the Foundation Board of Trustees wants to reach out to the Chapter and do more to support the Chapter. We have already started working with President Lisa and her board to find areas of opportunity and collaboration. I look forward to working closely together during 2018!
If you have ideas or suggestions for fundraisers, causes we should consider supporting, or how we might help the chapter achieve its goals and success in 2018, please don’t hesitate to let me or the other Trustees know. Members of the 2018 Board of Trustees include: Scott Chisholm, Russ Trapp, Fay Walsh, Jerri Atkins, Michael Lee, and Mary Jo Zechiel.
We look forward to continuing and significantly strengthening our partnership with the chapter and helping President Lisa in 2018!
