GDPR and the RMC
Many of you may have seen online or at your workplace that from 25th May 2018, the Data Protection Act is being replaced by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
GDPR applies to all companies processing the personal data of data subjects residing in the European Union, regardless of the company’s location (and regardless of BREXIT) and so this also affects clubs like the RMC.
At the RMC we want everyone to be aware that the information we hold on you will never be passed on to a third party and is secured in an encrypted database. We have also taken additional precautions by using a SSL for our online sign up process and all user passwords are "salted" and stored as encrypted versions rather than plain text.
As and when convenient, we ask that members take 5 - 10 minutes to review our GDPR policy, to understand what details we hold and what we do with them.
